Abstract Artist. Muralist. Workshops. Commissions. Exhibitions.
International abstract fine artist. Private and public collections. From Hollywood celebrity homes, offices, restaurants to murals in LA and museums worldwide.
Born in 1984 London, England, Fischetti attended courses at Chelsea College of Art and at Central St Martins College in early 2000. She received her BA Honours degree in Fine Art at the University of Leeds in 2006 and attended the London College of Fashion (University of The Arts London) during the global financial crash in 2008 where she earned another qualification in 2010 as a Cordwainer (leathersmith). She had since set up her own company in accessories for three years in London. Her pull to paint was so strong she vowed to continue as a painter full time by closing her business and, for a short spell, moved to New York, America in 2013.
She is best known for her colourful abstracts, soak stained paintings and gestural backdrops in acrylic amidst labour intensive geometric colour blocks in oil. She works on paper, canvas, walls and digital mediums. Her works explore themes based on the human condition, space exploration, parallel universes and utopias where the language is ‘Sacred Number’. She counts Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Motherwell, Mark Rothko, Clyfford Still, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee as her major influences.
Her vibrant works are created tailor made for private residences and businesses. Her paintings have been exhibited (and are on permanent display) in museums worldwide including: The Yue Hu museum, Shanghai, The San Diego Institute, San Diego, World Chess Hall of Fame museum, St Louis, Missouri and Galerie Michael, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2015, Fischetti released her studio in Culver City preferring to work plein air. This freedom allowed her to connect deeply with her natural surroundings. Along with her exhibitions in Los Angeles she is commissioned to create wall art for local businesses and for The City of Los Angeles. She often travels with her work where you can see her painting on forest beds in Mendocino, vineyards in Sonoma county and in Napa valley, California. In Europe her studios are on beach floors outside Rome in Italy, in parks or village streets in London, England or painting surfboards and murals in Hawaii.
She exhibits with international contemporaries in North America and abroad. These artists include, Yoko Ono, Rachel Whiteread, Sophie Matisse, Tom Hackney, Thierry Noir, Goshka Macuga, Rob and Roberta Smith, among many others.
Aside from art, Fischetti counts the theatre as her first love. She trained as a dancer and actor with the London Children's Ballet, West London School of Dance, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and University of Leeds. She occasionally appears in commercial adverts and music videos.
Fischetti is now based in London on an MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts, London, teaching and working at Zari Gallery, London.
